"Empowering first nations students to succeed through exceptional education and cultural leadership."

The "Indigenous Knowledge and Leadership" model is designed to empower first nations students to succeed academically and personally, while also valuing and preserving their cultural heritage. The model integrates traditional indigenous knowledge and teaching methods with contemporary academic subjects, and places a strong emphasis on experiential and project-based learning. Students have the opportunity to learn from indigenous elders and cultural experts, as well as from traditional teachers, and to participate in hands-on activities such as language revitalization, cultural arts, and environmental stewardship. The model also includes leadership development components, helping students to build the skills and confidence to become leaders in their communities and beyond. Through this model, students can gain a strong foundation in both their cultural traditions and the contemporary world, and emerge as thoughtful, grounded, and visionary leaders.
